A Spotswood High School student has died following an ATV crash in Georgia.

Georgia Safety Patrol says Matthew Carlson, 16, was driving an ATV on Nov. 23 when he lost control and flipped over. He was taken to the hospital but died the next day.

Carlson was a sophomore at Spotswood High School, where he played basketball and varsity baseball.

Services will be held Thursday and a funeral will be held on Friday.
