Police are asking the public for help finding information about a dog who they say was abandoned and tied to a pole in Cranford.

Authorities say Zeus was found Thursday on Lexington Avenue near Unami Park. They say a sign with his name was attached to his collar. It also said he is not rabid and does not bite.

Police say Zeus is currently safe at a shelter, and he is in need of a home.
