Attorney: Brian Laundrie’s father asked to join search for son at Florida preserve, involvement postponed
The attorney claims that Chris Laundrie’s involvement was postponed by the North Port Police Department, but added that both parents are “hopeful there will be another opportunity to assist.”

316ds agoBrian Laundrie’s father was asked to help police try and find his son at a Florida preserve Wednesday, according to the Laundrie family attorney.
The attorney claims that Chris Laundrie’s involvement was postponed by the North Port Police Department, but added that both parents are “hopeful there will be another opportunity to assist.”
A spokesperson for the North Port Police Department pointed out that the FBI is the lead in the case and that the department didn’t make any decision.
News 12 reached out to the FBI but has not heard back.
It’s been nearly a month since Brian Laundrie was reported missing.
There was increased police activity Wednesday in the search for him at the Carlton Reserve.
Added police units and ATVs were brought in to search for the Long Island native, who is a person of interest in the case of Gabby Petito.
A warrant has also been issued for his arrest.
He is accused of using a bank card that did not belong to him.
