A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car early Saturday morning in Gloucester Township.
Authorities say the incident occurred just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Old Black Horse Pike and Landing Road.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim unconscious in the roadway with severe head injuries. Their attempts to resuscitate her failed and she was pronounced dead.
The driver involved in the crash was uninjured and remained at the scene, according to authorities.
Police say an investigation is ongoing.
