Authorities in Trenton say a police officer shot and wounded a man after an early morning stabbing that wounded two people, one critically.
According to reports, officers responding Saturday shortly before 2 a.m. found two men holding a third.
Capt. Stephen Varn says the third man broke free and began stabbing the other two with a “large knife.”
The officer fired when the man refused to stop, hitting him at least once.
Varn and county prosecutors said one victim was in critical condition, while the suspect and the second victim were reported as stable.
