Police in Somerset County have launched an education campaign to help keep drivers safe.
The campaign is the first of its kind to cut down on drivers distracted because of conversations they are having on their cell phones. Drivers caught texting or holding a phone while driving were issued a warning as long as they agreed to go to a website and watch a video.
A medical center, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office and police are involved in the campaign.
The campaign kicked off Dec. 1 and has been so successful in the county it might continue through January.
