Police helped rescue two children who were left in a hot car in Hanover Township for more than 45 minutes.
The incident happened last week outside of a Wegmans store.
Police say a 6-year-old developmentally disabled boy and a 4-year-old girl were sweating and crying when officers arrived after someone called 911.
The children's father was inside shopping and the car was not running.
Temperatures were above 90 degrees.
Charges against the father are now pending.
