Two people were killed Sunday morning in a collision at the corner of Spring and East Grand streets in Elizabeth.
Authorities say one vehicle containing three passengers appeared to be fleeing an earlier incident when they ran a red light and collided into another vehicle at around 5:42 a.m.
The two passengers inside the other vehicle were pronounced dead, according to authorities.
Two passengers from the suspect’s vehicle were caught by police. However, the remaining passenger fled from the scene on foot.
