Police say they have busted and effectively shut down a major drug ring in Newark. Newark police are calling these arrests "a violent blow? to a gang called the Grape Street Crips. Police say 15 people were arrested whom were reportedly engaging in interstate heroin trafficking from Essex County to Pennsylvania. Local, state and federal police spent eight months investigating the ring, during which time they made 5,000 buys with a street value of about 100,000 dollars. Officials say six people remain at large.
