Davon Fields, a 45-year-old from Newark, has been arrested this morning in connection with a significant theft of copper and an arson meant to conceal the crime.
The incident in question relates to a fire that occurred months ago in Boonton.
Prosecutors allege that Fields stole over $230,000 worth of copper materials, part of which he sold to a scrap yard. To cover up the theft, Fields is accused of setting a fire in the warehouse.
He is currently being held at the Morris County Jail following his arrest.
