Police: Asbury Park man who got lost in Lakewood shot twice in the arms

Lakewood police say the 27-year-old victim from Asbury Park got lost while driving to Toms River Sunday night.

A man is recovering after being shot in a Lakewood parking lot and then driving himself to the hospital, according to police.

Lakewood police say the 27-year-old victim from Asbury Park got lost while driving to Toms River Sunday night. They say he pulled over into the Westgate complex where he says an unknown person walked up to his car and shot him in both arms.

The man was treated at Ocean Medical Center and is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made. Anyone who might have information is urged to contact Lakewood police.
