A head-on collision Friday night in Egg Harbor Township left two people dead and several others injured, according to authorities. One of the victims who died was pregnant.
Police say a silver Nissan Sentra was going west on Black Horse Pike after 8 p.m. when it crossed over into the eastbound lanes of traffic and struck a Kia.
A total of four cars were involved in the crash. Two vehicles went off the roadway, one was struck by flying debris and another caught fire.
Police say Escarlin Surie, of Atlantic City and Gabriella Constrantino, of Pleasantville, were killed. Seven other people were hospitalized.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
