Two people are accused of breaking into an Evesham home last month and stealing $100,000 worth of jewelry.
Police say 36-year-old Catherine Walton, of Maple Shade, and 37-year-old Nicholas Eye, of West Deptford, were hired by the victim to care for their pets while they were out of town on Dec. 15, 2023. They say the pair stole approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry at the home on the 30 block of Old Republic Lane.
Walton was arrested and charged with theft. She was lodged in Burlington County Correctional Facility pending her first court appearance.
Eye was charged with theft and receiving stolen property but has not yet been located. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The Evesham Police Department is also looking to identify anyone who has hired Walton and/or Eye to care for their pets while they were away as they may be potential victims.
