The city of Paterson has honored a husband and wife for saving the life of a biker who was struck by a car.
Anthony and Nakesha Marcum were riding with their motorcycle club when another rider was hit by a car.
Nakesha is a nurse, and Anthony is a former paramedic. Both jumped into action and worked together to perform CPR on the biker until an ambulance arrived.
“I just did what I do. I’ve been a paramedic for a long time, so it was just instinct,” says Anthony Marcum.
“God put us there at that moment, God had us in the right state of mind at that moment,” Nakesha Marcum says.
Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh praised the Marcums for their actions.
