According to the mayor, the child and their parents, a dad in his 40s and mom in her 30s, who live in Paterson, all tested positive.
The mayor received confirmation on the boy Monday, prompting him to declare a state of emergency in the city.
The family has been in self quarantine since last week, when the husband, who works in Teaneck, tested positive this weekend.
