Pascack Valley Line shifts to buses off-peak for repairs
(AP) - Passengers who use New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley line will be riding the roads instead of the rails.
NJ Transit is replacing trains with buses on weekends and during midday hours, beginning Sunday, because of track repairs.
Trains will continue to operate between Secaucus and Hoboken during repair work.
While busing is in effect, all Metro-North commuters from Spring Valley, Nanuet and Pearl River, New York, are allowed to use commuter passes for travel on Metro-North's Hudson Line between Tarrytown, New York and Grand Central Station.
Cross-honoring will only happen on weekends.
NJ Transit estimates the project will last through Oct. 28.
