Paint spill on New Jersey Turnpike causes traffic disruption in Edison

New Jersey State Police said a tractor-trailer spilled approximately 150 buckets of paint on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison Township on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers responded to the debris spill around 4:11 p.m. on the southbound side of the Turnpike near Interchange 10 in Middlesex County.

According to a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner tractor-trailer lost about 150 five-gallon buckets of paint in the roadway.

Authorities said the spill was cleaned up and no injuries were reported.
