An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the entire area through Saturday. Triple-digit readings are expected for most areas Thursday and Friday.
The heat and humidity combined will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
If the temperature hits 104 in Newark on Thursday, it will be the hottest day in 14 years.
Isolated storms are possible later today, Friday afternoon and late on the Fourth of July. The six-day heat wave is expected to break on Monday.
