Dozens of protesters Tuesday demonstrated just yards away from Gov. Phil Murphy's daily coronavirus briefing calling for New Jersey to be reopened, as the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels flew through the sky, thanking health care workers.

"Open New Jersey now! Open New Jersey now! Open New Jersey now!"
Just last week, a poll from Monmouth University found a majority of New Jersey residents approve of the governor's executive orders, limiting certain activities in the state.
Almost everyone who was surveyed agreed with social distancing requirements, limiting restaurants to takeout and delivery only, and closing gyms.

Gov. Murphy says he does not "begrudge" anyone's right to protest, but wants them to know he is only doing what he thinks is in the best interest of the state.
"This isn't a question of patriotism, this is a question of doing what's right,” says Gov. Murphy. “Who's a patriot, who isn't. We're in here trying to save lives every single day. Do we always get it right? No, we don't always get it right, believe me I'm the first to admit that. We are absolutely, desperately trying to save every life we can, our heart, trust me, is in the right place."
While the governor says he wouldn't suppress anyone's right to protest, he wish they would do it at home to prevent further spread.
