A firefighter was injured Wednesday when a controlled burn in Old Bridge got out of hand.
Police called fire officials in when a controlled burn near Mannino Park got too smoky. A firefighter responding to the scene suffered burns on his leg.
The injured firefighter was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
