A tree falling on wires caused a large power outage in Jackson Thursday, officials say.
A spokesperson for JCP&L says the outage happened around 5 a.m. when a tree fell on wires somewhere in town.
As a result, thousands of customers were without power until 10:20 a.m. when it was restored.
