One of New Jersey’s most wanted criminals is now behind bars.
The New Jersey State Fugitive Unit and state marshals arrested Marciano Sanchez in New York on Wednesday.
Sanchez, 40, was wanted in connection to a 2010 shooting in Brick. Officials say Brick police officers found a man shot in the face at the Community First Aid Building on Mantoloking Road 14 years ago. Sanchez was identified as a suspect in that shooting.
The shooting victim survived the shooting.
Sanchez is being held on Rikers Island pending extradition to Ocean County.
