A crash in Lakehurst caused a hazmat situation Saturday evening.
The crash happened on Route 70 just before 5 p.m.
Officials said a box truck from a local power washing company had overturned after rear-ending another car. They said the crash caused gas to spill near the roadway.
The truck was also carrying chlorine, News 12 was told.
Traffic was detoured for about seven hours while the mess was cleaned up.
