New Jersey's Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell is warning about hackers, and others trying to distribute misinformation during the coronavirus pandemic.

With many people in the state working from home, and using Zoom for meetings, hackers are breaking into virtual meetings and posting inappropriate content.
The state’s Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell says it's best to always password protect meetings and verify attendees in a virtual waiting room.

Zoom is now reportedly enhancing its encryption to protect data and meetings. The new software will be available later this week.
Jared Maples, with New Jersey Homeland Security and Preparedness, also says the pandemic has become a breeding ground for scams and misinformation planted by foreign governments.
Maples didn't offer details as to what foreign countries have used misinformation against U.S. citizens.
