Officials say a burglary suspect has died in a fatal crash after leaving the scene of a heist in Old Bridge.

Officials say a burglary suspect has died in a fatal crash after leaving the scene of a heist in Old Bridge.
The accident happened Tuesday around 9:02 a.m. on Route 516, near Sherwood Lane.
According to officials, Dwayne Melvin, 47, of Aberdeen, was a person of interest connected to several burglaries in the town.
Officials say Melvin was speeding in a Mercedes C Class Sedan when he crossed into oncoming traffic on the highway, hitting an oncoming Ford F350 Pickup Truck head on.
He was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he died from the injuries.
The driver of the truck, as well as two passengers, were transported to the hospital with serious but injuries that are not life-threatening.
