Officials: Airplane, luggage searched following passenger’s threatening comment on flight to Newark airport

The Port Authority says a passenger made a threatening comment on a United flight to Newark Liberty International Airport from Los Angeles International Airport.

The Port Authority says a passenger made a threatening comment on a United flight to Newark Liberty International Airport from Los Angeles International Airport.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon on United flight 2304.
According to Port Authority, the pilot landed safely, and that’s when Port Authority police inspected the plane and the luggage.
No injuries were reported. Other passengers on the plane deboarded on to the taxiway and bused to the terminal.
The man who made the threat was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
