The NYPD is warning New Yorkers about a potential terror threat against some of the East River bridges and tunnels ahead of Sept. 11.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we are surging resources and you can expect to see an increased police presence at critical infrastructure locations,” says NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
Potential threats tend to increase around this time of the year due to the Sept. 11 anniversary, the U.N. General Assembly and the Jewish High Holidays.
