There is a COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY in effect for New Jersey due to the higher-than-normal high tides from the breezy north wind today. Minor flooding is expected in some locations, but not all.
FORECAST:
It remains cloudy across most of New Jersey today until maybe a few breaks of sun emerge northwest this late afternoon and early evening. Light rain showers and sprinkles remain scattered across the state this morning with most of the rain staying offshore to our southeast. With the limited impacts today, it's more nuisance than anything else.
Some may argue that today's weather is pretty good, especially with the autumn feel to the air. Some coastal areas can experience minor coastal flooding during the high tide cycle due to the north wind pushing the water into the back bays. This won't happen for many communities, just the prone areas.
The sky clears overnight into tomorrow and temperatures rebound to near 80-82 degrees with sun and clouds. The weather remains fair into the weekend with sunshine. The next chance for rain is late overnight Sunday into early on Monday morning.
