The City of Hoboken remains under a boil water advisory until further notice.

Veolia Water says repairs to the break are complete and water was restored last night.

The water company says the break that occurred at Newark & Garden streets Tuesday morning caused customers in the area to experience a significant loss of pressure or be without water.

Newark Street remains closed between Washington Street and Park Avenue, and Garden Street is closed from First Street to Observer Highway. Residents are asked to continue to avoid the area.

As a necessary precaution a system-wide boil water advisory was implemented until testing of the water supply is deemed satisfactory by the NJDEP.

Meanwhile, crews are working on another water main break from Tuesday afternoon on Ninth Street between Garden and Bloomfield Streets.

The water distribution sites will be open from 7 a.m. at three water distribution sites at the following locations.
