A nurse practitioner has been arrested and charged with assaulting a teenager inside a county youth shelter, authorities said.

Izee Dizon, 34, of Bridgewater, was charged on March 8, 2026, with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

The charges stem from an incident reported March 6, when the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency notified prosecutors that a 16-year-old said he had been assaulted by a nurse practitioner in the medical unit of the Middlesex County Youth Shelter.

An investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the North Brunswick Police Department determined Dizon had inappropriate physical and verbal contact with the juvenile, authorities said.

Dizon was arrested, and the investigation remains ongoing.
