North Carolina considers plan to make it easier for students to get an 'A'
North Carolina officials are considering a proposal to adjust the grading scale at the state’s public schools, to make it easier for students to receive an "A" grade.
Under the proposal, anything above 85 percent would be considered an “A.”
Grades of 84 to 70 percent would be considered a “B.”
Failing grades would be anything below 40 percent.
The state Committee on Education is reviewing the plan. If it is passed, the system would be implemented in all public schools in the state.
