One New Jersey school district will be closed for the remainder of the week, while another is reopening amid contamination concerns.
All six schools within the Monroe Township School District in Gloucester County will be closed for the remainder of the week after mold was discovered at Williamstown Middle School. The school board made the announcement in an emergency meeting Monday night.
The district just closed Holly Glen Elementary School to clean up that building. Students were temporarily reassigned to other schools.
Meanwhile, Pinelands Regional High School in Little Egg Harbor Township will reopen Tuesday after an asbestos contamination.
The school closed last week after the material was found.
Officials say air tests were done and no concerning issues were discovered. Experts say that reports show the school to be within federal and state standards.
