Thirty of New Jersey?s politicians are getting a first hand look at what life is like for the residents of the Garden State.
Many residents feel politicians are out of touch and have no real clue what life is really like. Now, some New Jersey residents are getting a chance to show politicians exactly what their lives are like. Ewing resident Robert Williams joined the Walk-A-Mile program. He has spent the last month trying to open Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein?s eyes to what life on a fixed income is like.
Williams says he is glad he joined the program so that he could speak his mind. Greenstein adds she is glad residents are able to discuss issues and is open to what they have to say. Greenstein says she wants Williams to spread the word that anyone can have a say no matter what their income.
This is the first year for the Walk-A-Mile program. The group sponsoring the program hopes to enlist a new group of policy makers and residents next year.
