Police departments from all over New Jersey are paying tribute to fallen police officers by participating in the annual Unity Bike Tour.
This is the 26th year of the event. Hundreds of police officers will be biking to Washington D.C.
News 12 caught up with Jersey City police officers who were departing on Monday. Officers have raised more than $70,000 in Jersey City alone in memory of those killed in the line of duty.
They will spend the next four days biking together to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington. The 320-mile journey takes officers on back roads and lesser-traveled highways through New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland before arriving in Washington.
