Capitol police officer, and South River native, Brian Sicknick, lies in honor this morning in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol.
Sicknick died from injuries sustained in the Capitol riot four weeks ago today.
No one has been arrested or charged yet in connection with Sicknick's death. Investigators are looking at video and pictures from the riot, and still have not publicly named any suspects.
President Joe Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden visited Tuesday night to pay their respects.
His colleagues carried his remains earlier in the day up the steps to the Capitol. There will be a congressional tribute later today for Sicknick. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
