The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office says a teacher at Camden Catholic High School has been charged for repeatedly sexually assaulting an underage victim, which began when the victim was her 17-year-old student.
According to prosecutors, Bridget Sipera, 36, of Cherry Hill, was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. She’s also charged with sexual assault for crimes that occurred in Gloucester Township.
Detectives say the crimes began in January of 2019 when the victim was a student in Sipera's class, continuing through March of 2020. During the investigation, police say Sipera admitted to the sexual assault, which took place in multiple towns. Sipera could face more charges.
She was transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility awaiting a centralized first appearance.
