NJ breaks heat record with 91-degree day; tracking potential weekend rain

New Jersey saw record-breaking warmth Thursday with temperatures reaching 91 degrees at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the last time temperatures hit the 90s in April was April 7, 2010.
Curren says Friday could once again see record-breaking warmth.
TODAY: Mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper-80s. If temperatures rise above 88 degrees, it will break a record set last year.
SATURDAY: Overcast with moments of drizzle for most of the day. Scattered thunderstorms possible Saturday night. Daytime highs cooler in the low-70s. Overnight lows around 55 degrees.
SUNDAY: Overcast for most of the day. Rain in the evening and overnight hours. Daytime highs even cooler in the low-60s. Overnight lows around 55 degrees.
COMING UP: Mix of sun and clouds for the upcoming week. Temperatures start in the 60s and then warm to the mid-70s by the end of the week.
