The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office is investigating a police-involved shooting in Paterson.
Authorities have not released many details about the shooting, but says that one man was killed in the encounter.
The shooting happened on Godwin Avenue around 4 p.m. Thursday.
A video of the shooting sent to News 12 New Jersey shows a group of police officers surrounding a man. At least one of the officers then fires several shots and the man dropped to the floor.
It was not clear what happened leading up to the shooting.
The victim’s name was not released.
