A
new park is open on Ridgewood Avenue in Newark’s South Ward for children with special needs.
The
park includes sensory play equipment for kids with autism and other
developmental disabilities.
"This is personal and near and dear to my
heart, this park, and anything that effects families with autism,” says
Councilman Lawrence Crump. “I'm happy to see that this park has been built,
the park has been refurbished for families and kids effected by autism."
Renovations
were possible through a $150,000 grant from Essex County.
