They're back! The sassy New Jersey Department of Transportation signs are up and running again with holiday humor.
Signs like “Drive High Get DUI,” “Don't be a Grinch Let Them Merge” and “Ho Ho Ho Please Drive Slow” are displayed on roads across the Garden State.
The DOT says the signs are used to promote holiday safety and help reduce fatalities.
“First time around, we might have been a little edgy with some stuff. I don't think that way, but others might have seen it that way,” said DOT Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti. “We're trying to keep it safety oriented, with a very clear message on safety and also make it things people remember.”
