Members of New Jersey Task Force One made their way to upstate New York early Tuesday to help with search and rescue efforts after the deadly winter storm.
The team – consisting of 22 members – assembled, packed up and moved out from their Wall Township headquarters on Monday night.
The team’s deployment could last up to 14 days.
New York state and military police issued a driving ban in snow-cloaked Buffalo.
Police will be positioned at entrances to major highways and intersections after the storm killed 34 people in the region.
