Tuesday is one of the busiest travel days of the year. Combine busy airports with stormy weather, and New Jersey could see a nightmare at the airports by Wednesday morning.
More than 130,000 New Jerseyans are expected to fly for Thanksgiving this year, according to AAA. The organization also projects that 1.4 million New Jerseyans are going to travel more than 50 miles - that is the most ever since 2000.
Those who caught a flight on Tuesday were advised to get to the airport at least two to three hours before the flight took off.
AAA says traveling by sky is up nearly 10% from last year for New Jersey. Nationally, 4.7 million Americans will fly to their Thanksgiving destinations this year.
