Democratic and Republican voters chose Assembly and Senate candidates for November's general election Tuesday.
Thirteen of 40 districts had competitive races and voter turnout was low. The winning candidates - one Senate and two Assembly candidates - from each party will run on November 6, when all Senate and Assembly seats will be decided.
Tuesday's primary set the stage for a fall election that will bring the largest turnover to the state Legislature since the Democrats won 39 seats in 1973.
