One lucky man from New Jersey cracked open a fortune cookie and inside read the phrase “believe in miracles.”

A few days later, the man won a $1 million jackpot from a Cash4Life ticket he purchased on his phone.

According to New Jersey Lottery, the man shared that his prize will bring newfound comfort and stability to his financial future and retirement planning.

The Cash4Life lottery winner chose to stay anonymous, but his story is giving the Garden State a little bit of tasty hope.

This is not the first-time fortune cookies have predicted winners. In 2018, a lucky player won with numbers from his fortune slip.

New Jersey Lottery said a recent survey found that, since 2004, at least 146 unique lottery winners won more than $406 million in prizes using fortune cookie numbers.
