Several motorists are being hailed as heroes for helping to rescue a driver whose car had overturned on Interstate 295 in Mount Laurel.
According to the New Jersey State Police, a collision occurred between the driver and the driver of a box truck. It happened near Exit 43 around 4:30 p.m.
The crash caused the smaller car to overturn.
Several drivers stopped and rushed to the overturned car and pried open the doors. The vehicle started to smoke and they were able to pull the driver out.
The driver complained of some stomach pains, but the injuries appeared to be minor, according to state police.
