Teresa Jones says Christmas has never been the same since 2021 – when her son, 30-year-old Tykeem Jones, was shot to death on Light Street in Stratford.

"It happened only a few days before Christmas, and ever since then, it's just been hard. Very, very hard," she said.

Stratford police say the investigation into the shooting remains "open and active" but Jones says "at this point, we're now demanding action."

"Somebody knows something and we just want them to come forward to make our holiday season a little less bleak," she said.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Stratford police at (203) 385-4100.
