A Morrisania mother says she and her four kids are constantly sick from mold exposure in their NYCHA apartment.

Nylicia English has been living in her apartment for more than five years. She says consistent leaks cause mold, and management hasn’t gotten to the root of the problem.

English tells News 12 that management stripped her walls to Sheetrock two years ago. They also made holes in her walls to try to find the source of the leak, but they were unsuccessful and left her walls untreated.

She says a maintenance worker will occasionally come by to take photos, then leave and never return. English says her home makes her depressed, and she’s running out of hope.

She says she’s looking for lawyers to help her out.

NYCHA tells News 12 it’s working on a temporary accommodation for the family while they make the necessary repairs.
