Veterans received the chance to learn glass blowing in Morristown.

The Morris County School of Glass hosted a free event this weekend to honor active military veterans and their families.

Veterans sat at the glass-blowing benches to shape their own artwork.

Michelle Knox, studio coordinator at the School of Glass, says, "They’re able to come here, unwind, celebrate in a creative way something different and unique and I think with veterans and first responders. They're little bit of adrenaline junkies to begin with so this a really fun activity that combines that interest."

The event also took place in various cities around the nation.
