Just two days after Miss USA Noelia Voigt stepped down, Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava, has resigned as well.

Srivastava, of Morris Plains, released a statement Wednesday on Instagram saying she has decided to resign due to her personal values no longer aligning with the direction of the organization.

“While this was certainly not how I saw my reign coming to a close, I am excited to continue my advocacy for education and acceptance, start applying to colleges, and share some exciting new projects,” Srivastava wrote in a post on Instagram.

The Miss Teen USA account released a statement on Instagram and said they support Srivastava's decision.

“The well-being of our titleholders is a top priority,” the Miss Teen USA posted on social media.

The organization says it’s currently reviewing plans for the transition of responsibilities to a successor. They say the crowning of the new Miss Teen USA will be announced soon.

As for Voigt, she cited prioritizing her own mental health as her reason for resigning.
