Military aircraft escorted a small plane that entered restricted airspace near President Donald Trump's Bedminster golf club in New Jersey on Saturday, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
NORAD says the response involved F-15 fighter jets from the Air Force, along with an MH-65 U.S. Coast Guard helicopter. The plane was an R7, a small, low-wing general aviation aircraft.
The aircraft had entered the temporary flight restriction zone without approval, according to NORAD.
The jets dispensed signal flares to get the pilot's attention. Radio communication with the pilot was established, and the plane was escorted to a nearby airport, NORAD says.
It's unclear at this time where the small plane was headed, where it had departed from, or how many people were on board.

There was no word on whether the pilot could face any charges or disciplinary action.
It comes as President Donald Trump spends the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, but it's unclear if the president was on the grounds at the time. Temporary flight restrictions are put into place to establish a security bubble around the president.
The president was scheduled to participate in a roundtable event with supporters in Bedminster Saturday evening.
